STOLEN FOCUS: WHY YOU CAN’T PAY ATTENTION AND HOW TO THINK DEEPLY AGAIN BY JOHANN HARI

“Stolen Focus is all we talk about. Examining the reasons why both we as individuals and as a society have lost our ability to pay attention is important and fascinating. But It’s safe to say that after reading about Hari’s three-month tech-detox and his findings, you’ll want to stop scrolling the internet, although stop thinking in slogans and 280 characters, and start thinking authentically and for a sustained period of time so that we can address issues like poverty, racism, and climate change on a global scale. This book, which is immensely fulfilling, reassuring, and full of “aha!” moments, should be read by everyone. —Al Woodworth, Editor at Amazon. We rate this as one of the best books on amazon.

Without books on amazon”Fairy Tale’s Charlie Reade joins the ranks of King’s best characters, and the story he tells — of a gruff neighbour with dangerous secrets, a parallel universe ruled by an unspeakable monster, a child-eating giant, and a dog who has lived more than one lifetime — is wonderous,” said author Stephen King. King is doing what he does best in Fairy Tale, which is igniting our imagination. OUR MISSING HEARTS BY CELESTE NG

Let’s set your best books on amazon on absolute fire with this one. “With her most compelling tale yet, Celeste Ng makes her third appearance on our list of the Best Books of the Year. In the midst of a nationalistic movement that feels uncomfortably accurate. A mother inexplicably vanishes, sending her little son on a valiant search for her with the help of unsuspecting everyday heroes. As the pieces fit together, the writing sings. As a dystopian fairy tale, a gripping thriller, and a warning, this is fiction as revolution. It gave us hope as we read. —Lindsay Powers, Editor at Amazon.

THE ESCAPE ARTIST: THE MAN WHO BROKE OUT OF AUSCHWITZ TO WARN THE WORLD BY JONATHAN FREELAND

“This is a genuine account of one of the few survivors of Auschwitz. Yet that only scratches the surface of the subject matter of the book. In the light of Rudolph Vrba set out to inform people of the horrors he had seen in the concentration camps, therefore a large portion of the globe was not receptive to his message. Jonathan Freedland, the author, presents a vivid, heartbreaking image of what Vrba went through both during and after the war. Vrba was a hero, without a doubt, but he was also a person. Hence you won’t soon forget about this lost tale. —Chris Schluep, Editor at Amazon

It deals with treachery, survival, and themes of love, brotherhood, family, and belonging. Although how grand its ideas, Winslow’s attention to the tiny, intimate details will etch these individuals into your heart and memory. —Vannessa Cronin, Editor at Amazon
