GALAXY M51 FIRST LOOK

Nowadays, smartphones come with a higher screen to body ratio. Likewise, the Samsung Galaxy M51 has an Infinity-O display screen. Unlike the dewdrop look, the Infinity-O look comprises of the front camera lens which is centrally aligned.

On one hand, the phone has an elegant front camera placement while on the other hand; the quad-camera setup looks beautiful at the rear. The rear portion of Galaxy M51 is glossy. All in all, the complete look of this smartphone is, indeed, attractive.

Subsequently, let me tell you about the button positions. The volume control and power button are aligned in the same line. Importantly, the fingerprint scanner is embedded in the power button. This is a good innovation. Hence, unlike the rear-mounted fingerprint scanners, you can find this feature a welcome change.

HOW IS THE SCREEN AND DISPLAY?

The overall screen size of Galaxy M51 is nearly equivalent to that of Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Hence, in simple words, it is large. Nevertheless, the majority of users can operate it easily. The display performance is fascinating. Therefore, watching videos, playing games and reading online content is convenient.

The screen aspect ratio is 20:9 and resolution is 2400 x 1080p. Thus, the images and video performance is pretty much top-notch. All in all, if you are a fan of large screen devices, the Galaxy M51 is certainly a great smartphone to use.

HARDWARE AND PROCESSOR DETAILS

A good processor is always vital for maintaining fluency in your smartphone performance. Hence, Samsung decided to equip the Galaxy M51 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor. Importantly, this is a good mid-range Octa-core processor.

Furthermore, the 128 GB internal storage capacity is a great inclusion. Having a high internal storage capacity enables users to store more data in their smartphones. In addition to a good processor and high internal storage, a 6 GB RAM ensures great multitasking capabilities.

Accordingly, you can even spend some extra bucks to get the 8 GB RAM variant. Although, it depends on your preference.

ARE THE CAMERAS GOOD?

The Samsung Galaxy M51 has a quad-camera setup. The details are as follows:

  • Main: 64 MP
  • Ultra-wide: 12 MP
  • Depth: 5 MP
  • Macro: 5 MP

The sensor used in the main lens is Sony IMX682. To sum up, this camera setup is capable to satisfy majority mid-range smartphone photographers. Interestingly, the low-light photos have decent details too. Nevertheless, mid-range smartphone cameras have nearly similar performance.

The front camera, known commonly as a ‘selfie camera’, has an adequate resolution of 32 MP. Thus, you can expect satisfactory selfies to post on social media.

GALAXY M51 OPERATING SYSTEM AND ANDROID DETAILS

The Samsung Galaxy M51 runs on Android 10 at this time. Nevertheless, Samsung is known for its original One UI skin. The One UI replaced Samsung Experience UI. Accordingly, there are constant developments in the current One UI skin too.

The Samsung Galaxy M51 runs on One UI 2.1. The utility of this skin is simple. However, there are many pre-installed apps which seem redundant. Apps from Microsoft, Samsung, and other third-party providers come pre-installed in many Galaxy devices. Therefore, if you do not use them, uninstall them manually.

The One UI is sleek and offers some useful features like ‘Game Launcher’ and specific gestures. Furthermore, ‘Galaxy Themes’ provide users with fresh look to their devices. Similarly, there are apps like ‘My Galaxy’ which can prove useful to some customers.

All in all, as Samsung does not run their devices on stock Android, you have to stick with the One UI in this device too.

THE X-FACTOR

No prizes for guessing. Battery is, indeed, the X-Factor of Samsung Galaxy M51. A 7000 mAh battery is definitely a game-changer in the modern Smartphone market. You must be wondering about its bulk, right? It is natural to think about the overall size and weight of a device with a mammoth battery.

To make things clear about this aspect, just take a look below:

  • Weight: 213 g
  • Thickness: 9.5 mm
  • Width: 76.3 mm

It is absolutely amazing that Samsung managed to control the weight and dimensions of a phone with a 7000 mAh battery. Without a doubt, the Galaxy M51 will last long after a single charge. Battery life depends on usage patterns. However, you do not get a phone with a 7000 mAh battery regularly. Therefore, undoubtedly, this has to be its X-Factor. Accordingly, a 25W charger compliments the charging speed of this phone.

SAMSUNG GALAXY M51: PROS AND CONS AT A GLANCE

PROSCONS
Impressive battery.Does not run on stock Android.
Excellent display.Plastic body.
Decent mid-range processor.Contains bloatware apps.

In addition to the battery performance, the Galaxy M51 shines in other departments too. To sum up, users who have a budget of approximately ₹ 25K can get a great all-round device in the form of M51.
